CoVid-19
Covid-19: Disease caused by the virus: SARS-COV-2
The Corona Virus has begun its spread around the world. This virus can be very hard to avoid. It is extremely contagious. It is the opinion of Citizens Lottery Party that its members take the time to prepare now while supplies are still available. We don’t want to scare you but this virus is no joke. In the span of two months it has been able to shut down a country of 1.5 billion people. Industry has come to a standstill and the supply chain has been heavily disrupted. 40 mobile crematoria were brought into just the city of Wuhan to deal with the dead. Working 24 hours a day their ashes are now literally raining on Japan. This virus multiplies exponentially, which means it moves slow and nonthreatening at first but then explodes in size and scope. Once the hospitals are overrun, which will happen very quickly, is the time when you will see the mortality of this virus skyrocket. If an outbreak of the CoVid-19 virus occurs, “runs” on the stores will quickly occur, and food and supplies will be gone.
The U.S. government has not published very much information on this virus. This is somewhat understandable because China is being so secretive, and the U.S. government doesn’t have much concrete information to go off of. We should be a little forgiving of the employees of the CDC for not moving fast enough. The information they present has to be proven and certified before making recommendations to the American people, and that takes time. They won’t be willing to make incorrect and speculative statements that can reduce their credibility among the people. They also may have come to the conclusion that the virus cannot be stopped, but only managed, so their actions are more to avoid panic, which could cost many lives. They already have pre-drawn up plans and we hope they reread and act on their scenarios to curtail the upcoming epidemic.
Virus Life Cycle:
Contagious before showing symptoms (incubation): est. 5-27 days.
Fever, cough and respiratory symptoms: est. 7 days
ARS or fluid in the lungs requiring hospitalization: est. 7-10 days
Still Contagious after recovery (unknown): est. 14-21 days
This virus is mostly contagious throughout its entire lifecycle as shown above from incubation through recovery. During incubation the patient shows no symptoms but is still contagious and able pass a virus to other people. Incubation period of 14 days which governments and media have latched onto was initially a statement put out by China early on. Some reports say that incubation can be up to as long as 27 days. This means that a contagious person can infect many people before they themselves know they are infected.
According to the CDC website the CoVid-19 has different symptoms than the flu. With the flu you get fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, fatigue (tiredness), and possible diarrhea. With CoVid-19 you experience fever, cough, and shortness of breath. These symptoms are what make Covid-19 distinct from the flu. Most people will get over Covid-19, but some will experience Acute Respiratory Syndrome or ARS.
When the patient develops ARS, which is liquid/mucus build up in the lungs, similar to pneumonia the patients are frequently put on ventilators. We really don’t know the real numbers out of China, but we do know that the death rate is much higher than publicized. Most likely because the hospitals are overwhelmed and there aren’t enough ventilators to go around. When you have more people than you have ventilators most will unfortunately pass away due to suffocation. If the virus becomes widespread in the United States and the hospitals are overwhelmed many Americans may face a similar fate.
